To begin your journey with Grow Credit, you will need the following:

  • A bank account where you deposit your income or a bank-issued debit card in your name

  • A valid email address

  • A valid phone number capable of receiving SMS messages

  • A Social Security Number (SSN)

  • You must be a permanent resident of the United States with a physical address in one of the 50 states or District of Columbia

  • You must be at least 18 years of age

You can join Grow with no credit history or limited credit. We do not take credit score into account when considering your application.

Grow Credit underwrites loans using a proprietary machine learning model that takes the last 60-90 days of your banking activity into account. When you register for Grow and link your bank account via Plaid, Grow analyzes your account to determine which memberships you are eligible for.

If you don’t have a bank account, or you don’t meet the eligibility requirements for a standard plan, you may qualify for one of Grow’s Secured plans.

With a deposit, you can secure your account and start growing your credit score with the same impact as Grow’s other plans. Unfortunately, once you have selected your preferred Secured plan, you will not be able to change plans.

Your deposit will be refunded after 12 months of consecutive on-time payments or in the event your Secured account is closed. The Secured accounts are reported with the same annual limits as the standard plans.
